From A Distant Planet

"Fancy hanging out? Going explore somewhere? You can take photos and I'll take photos of you taking photos?"
...
"I've got plans for tomorrow, but none tonight, so if you want to do some late night exploring, wrap up warm and lets go?!"

Driving in my car with my best friend, going nowhere in particular, cameras at the ready and imaginations growing.
I thought of a public footpath that lead to a huge open field. Parking up and grabbing all of our gear, we set off into the woods. The frozen ground crunching under our feet, our breathe turning into mist, it was cold but we didn't care.
Excited to try something new and to see the night in a different perspective.
Recently this week, Tim Peake was named the first official British astronaut to be working on Mission ISS. 2016 has brought us some sad times to our door, but this must be a huge step forward for Britain, we made history and he has now shown us that anything is possible.

"“What every astronaut wants to do is look back on planet Earth and have that amazing view. But I’m also looking forward to the whole experience of living and working in weightlessness and for that to become second nature because of the length of time I’ll be there. That’s going to be an incredible experience.”

I have always had a love for space, whether its the stars, northern hemisphere or the changing of the moon and planets. It's always fascinated me.
