When the sky goes dark, London starts to really shine.
November is such a beautiful time of year, whether you like the fact that Christmas starts early or not, anyone who witnesses the atmosphere throughout London will soon change their mind.
I have always thought that everything looks much more impressive in the dark, from small independent coffee shops to huge high street brands, they all go the extra mile to light up the big city.
Carnaby Street is renound for its unique atmosphere and individuality. Under a blanket of neon lights and glitter, it was so welcoming and fun for any age. My imagination was alive just walking through the small alleyways from shop to shop. Even the darkest corners had personality that would catch anyone's eye. Festivities are always seen differently, so due to the vast size of London you can explore every view on the Christmas period.
Christmas isn't the only time London shines the brightest, year after year, this city shines brighter and bigger from the last. Forever changing, forever broadening, and forever filling those around with the hope it will forever continue to shine.
Friday
13th October 2015 another strike to humanity hit Paris and it touched
the hearts of millions. Waking up and reading the news early Saturday
morning truly saddened me, scrolling through any social media, it was
everywhere! When something like this happens to such a strong city it
seems like the world goes dark for a moment but when the sun went down
across the UK, hope came and stood strong.
I read a quote which said; "I see humans, but no humanity. This is the world we live in."
But standing within such a vast crowd of people, from different cultures, different ethnicity, different genders, different ages, and different opinions. It just proved that when all think humanity is lost, something amazing happens and brings hope.
I have never felt so moved about a situation, the chants, the unison and strength of the crowd, it opened my eyes and showed me that the world still stands as one even in the darkest of times.
This world will continue to stand strong.
Shining bright and moving forward together.
